Fritz Pollard became the first African-American NFL coach in the year 1921. He was raised into a very fortnute black family, considering that they lived in a wealthy neighborhood near Chicago. Pollard served in the first World War and also coached an NFL team during that time. In so many ways, Fritz did what white people thought a black person could never do. Fritz Pollard's accomplishments are very underrated, and they should be talked about more and receive more recognition.
Fritz Pollard's actions against racism was the most pivitol point in getting equal rights for African-Americans. Without Fritz Pollard's courageous work, black people would not have the opportunities that they do today.
